Sharp Objects- Episodes 2 and 3

So, just a little recap of the episode that I missed last week. The hunt for suspects begins at the funeral for the found girl. Camille interviews the fathers of the girls that were murdered and a supposed witness. The finger is pointed to the woman in white. The interviews, put a massive wave through the city.
Episode three starts with Amma (Eliza Scallen) coming home drunk and Camille helping her hide being drunk. Meanwhile Chief Vickery (Matt Craven) is picking at straws when it comes suspects. After being shut out of talking to Natalie's mother, Camille is given the chance to speak to the brother, who many believe, is the killer. All he shows is sadness and regret.
Scattered through the episode are flashbacks, of what seem to be a recent visit to a psychiatric facility. There she tries to help a girl that is about the age of sixteen. She wants to put the girl on the right path, to maybe not become her. It does not really end up this way though.
One thing I really enjoyed was to see how twisted Amma was. In the beginning she is painted as this perfect girl. As the episodes progress, we see that is really not the case.
This show is a very slow burn. While the production quality is up there it is taking a while for the story to progress. It does seem though, by the end of the third episode, something is actually happening.
