So, I do apologize, for missing the last episode. I did put it aside in favor of "13 reasons why". Then I planned on doing it over the week, but I had some serious review fatigue. When it comes to the review tonight, I will focus more on this episode, with some throwbacks to the previous episode and see how it goes.
Episode six had many things to juggle this episode. This time around, they had all storylines to juggle in the hour of this weeks episode. When it came to the story of William ( Ed Harris), it focused on him and his relationship with his daughter. They have had a checkered past, to say the least, and it seems by the end of their night conversation, things were going to head in the right direction. When she wakes up though, she finds that her father has left without her. it will be interesting to see if their conversation has any impact on him in the last four episodes.
Moving onto Dolores, a lot happened between episode 5 and 6. Through this season specifically Dolores, with her new personality, wasn't sure about her relationship with Teddy (James Marsden) . In a previous episode, when he was told to execute soldiers according to the orders of Dolores. He ended up letting them go, and lets just say that Dolores was not a fan. So, in episode five, with the help of some hostage programers, she reprograms Ted. Flash forward to this episode, we get the reveal of what was changed about him, and seems like she does not like what she has done.
Through the last two episodes Maeve (Thandie Newton) and company have been making their way through Shogun world. When they make it out, they have made it to the area where Maeve's daughter is. When she finally gets to her daughter, it isn't what she hoped.
The final area to cover is Bernard and Elise (Shannon Woodward) to the the Cradle. The cradle is where the memory of all the hosts are located. As long as the park has the memories they would always have the host. In the episode, they go to the cradle to figure out who keeps messing with the hosts, to keep them rebelling.
Overall, it feels great to have the entire cast in one episode, that was one thing that was hurting this season. The other thing that hurt it for me was there were several scenes where the CGI was less than what it should have been, but besides that it was a solid episode.
GRADE:B
