13 reasons why season 2 - A Look Back

I do apologize that my mini- reviews were a bit dis - jointed. I am going to attempt to do somewhat of a complete over look now that I have finished the show. There were several things that I did like about this show. The one thing that I absolutely loved about this season was the show took on the #me too movement. The importance of this in this culture now was great. It did not even try to sugar coat what happens, when it comes to what happens in reality. In real life rich white guys do tend to get off pretty easy when it comes to rape sentences. The other way, in terms of Chloe, the girlfriend of Bryce, gets disillusioned, by reality and stays with Bryce. According to Anne Winters, who played her, she believes that her character stays because of the validation she receives by being with him.
Another thing I thought was important, and great that was covered was the trial. Even without the trial, when someone kills themselves people always try to find someone to blame and it is usually not themselves.
The other big thing I loved in this season, to me there were two great performances. Devin Druid as Tyler Down blew me away as the soft spoken kid, who was always at the end of grueling bullying. The way that he portrayed the pain, was nothing short of genius. My other performance, that wowed me, was that of Justin Prentice as Bryce Walker. I feel like that man was seriously sick and played it so well. He played the character as if he was better than everyone, and you could believe it. When he was playing intimidating, you could feel what the characters feel.
The biggest thing that I had against this season was I felt that the first season was powerful. When the second season came along I felt lie it cheapened the power of the first season. It is true that there is always many sides to a story, but doing that for dramas, is different.
