I am going to sell you this show right here, right now! Rian Johnson is doing a murder mystery. How did I do? Does t have your curiosity?

Charlie (Natash Lyonne) has the gift of being able to determine when someone is lying. After the murder of her friend, she hits the road, at every stop she meets a new characters and crimes she can't help but investigate and solve. Without getting a whole lot into the plot of each episode, we'll talk about my favorite. The setup for this whole show is great. Charlie works as a cocktail waitress in the Frost Casino. Her friend gets murdered, she's on the run. What helps this show is the writing of Johnson.  Like with "Knives Out" and the more recent "Glass Onion" we see his gift for writing the wacky characters. In the pilot he, writes Charlie to be down but not out. You want to see what happens to her. Without giving things away, (which is hard to do when reviewing any tv show), the payoff of the pilot is amazing. \

Natasha Lyonne of American Pie and Russian Doll fame, steals this show. This show rides and dies with her. The character has too very likeable. She is going through many terrible situations in her life all at the once. Through these disconnected stories, we need a connection, she nails it. Lyonne is what is going to bring you back every week.

I do think that this show couldn't last forever. I think that while I feel it feels fun now do wonder how long the gimmick can last. These First few episodes are fun. It does follow the same basic premise. We'll see how long it can go.  would like to see more of what made Charlie go on the run, now it feels like a modern "Columbo".

As we progress with this show I'll be reviewing the show on an episode-by-episode basis, but this is a fun start.
