Fear
Property of Hidden Empire Pictures
When I first heard of this movie, I thought it was the one from 1996, starring everyone's favorite mark Wahlberg and Reese Whitherspoon. Hmmmmm wrong.
Premise is simple, Things get a little weird for friends on a weekend getaway. I say that like that's what the movie is about. Gong much further, could go into spoilers. As you fine people know I try to avoid at all costs. It is my job to watch and talk about these movies. At the end of the day I always wat you to make your own decision on anything that comes out.
This movie's biggest fault is the pacing. The film clocks in at a modest one hundred minutes. The problem, being it felt double it. Throughout this film there is nothing that moves it forward. There is not a single thing that happens for the first hour and twenty. By the end comes around, you lose interest in whatever is going on.
On top of the pacing, I had a general hard time trying to keep up with what was exactly going on. I think it was going hand and hand with the pacing, with nothing going on to push the story forward it gets lost in its own mess.
Its original, unscary, and lost in its own mess.
