The Undoing: Episode 1

The Undoing' review: Nicole Kidman stars in an HBO mystery series that feels like 'Big Little Lies Lite' - CNN
Picture is the property of HBO. With my return to the world of reviews, I thought why not take on something  a little more relevant.
The series comes from the TV mega man David E Kelly, the creator of such greats as The Practice, Boston Legal, and Big Little Lies. The series stars Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant, Edgar Ramirez, and Donald Sutherland.
Grace and Jonathan Fraser ( Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant), live an upper class life in New York. Their son goes to a high end school. What could possibly go wrong?
The biggest thing that comes from the episode are the performances. Kidman and Grant knock it out of the park. Honestly coming from a show like "Big Little Lies", I would expect nothing less from such a creator.
I was a big fan of the music used in the episode. It took a very classical approach. I think that it really adds to this is high class society feel.
The story is where things get a little dicey. This first episode really seems like a pinch hit for six very melodramatic episodes. I think that so far I have been able to call everything that happens. I'm in need of some twists, or this will be a slow six episodes.
This is a show that has some great aspects, and some that should and will hopefully evolve over time. I think  it is off to a solid start.
