Assassination Nation

For my return, I have to admit I picked a bit of a tricky one. I will always do my best to give the best review I can.
The movie surrounds Lily (Odessa Young) and her three best friends. The town they live in gets turned upside down when an  hacker starts to reveal everyone's personal messages and secrets.
The thing that stood out to me the most was the cinematography. There are two scenes towards the back half of the film that were so well shot. There was a shot that goes continually around a house for multiple minutes without out cutting. For those that do not know, the amount of planing that goes into this is astounding. I would go as far as to say this scene is something that makes this film.
This film is a satire on what it is like to live in the age of the internet. To put it lightly, things get very violent. This would be fine if it did not try to tackle so many other topics along with the internet age. It did get confusing in the last half of the film as to which point they were trying to hit home.
My other issue to the story is, towards the end of the film I feel like the film gets preachy. When things get preachy with the point of the film, it starts to get annoying. We get it, this is your point, don't beat us to death with it.
Honestly, overall, it is a better movie than I expected it to be.
