A Look Back: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

This week, theaters are showing all Marvel movies in IMAX. So obviously, I got to sit in on "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". Even though it has been out for a few years, I will not spoil anything for those who have not seen it.
With the alien events of New York behind him, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) sets up residence in Washington D.C.. While trying to catch up on the last several years,  Nick Fury ( Sam Jackson), is attacked for unknown reasons.  Rogers teams up with Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) to discover a conspiracy that would change the world forever.
This movie broke the superhero mold by taking more of a spy route to its story. When it came to the action scenes, they felt "super hero" like.  To try to make sense of what I said, I am saying that it had changed the way superhero movies are done.
I also feel like this film has a message that has not been matched in any of the subsequent films. I won't ruin it for the people that have not seen it. I will say, it involves the power of the government.
It was always tough for me to pick out what exactly I did not like about this film. It was only recently that I noticed that the effects kind of fall apart. This is kind of a big deal when you are talking about a superhero film.
When it comes to superhero films this is my favorite.
