Kings

To be honest, I really am having a difficult time really even knowing where to begin with this. This is a movie that I saw not knowing anything about it, which is super rare for me. I was in for a bit of a surprise.
Thinking back to what I watched, I am seriously struggling to describe what I watched. So the film takes place before and during the LA riot. Halle Berry plays Millie Dunbar, a lady that does any odd job she can to support the large amount of foster kids.
The problem that this film has is they set up this family and then the movie goes no where for most of the movie. The one clear thing that the film follows the trial of the cops that beat Rodney King.  The climax has the LA riot that still goes no where.
The one thing I actually enjoyed about the film was the performance of Daniel Craig was strong. From "Logan Lucky" to this I have enjoyed his acting.
In the end, the movie has a huge focus problem,  which is terrible, for a subject mater that is so horrifying. Very much a wasted opportunity.
