People of the internet I am here. Coming back from a week off, I am taking aim at a film that did a split between theaters and on demand. Does that make it good or bad?

When a copycat murderer strikes, Detectives Jake Doyle (Martin Larwrence) and Mary Kelly (Mellissa Roxburgh) seek help from an incarcerated serial killer called the Artist (John Malkovich). Mary delves deep into the Artist's twisted mind, she and Jake get lured into a game of cat and mouse, racing against time to stay a step ahead of both criminals.

This movie is boring, comes from many reasons, but mainly the cast just look like they do not want to be in this movie. Martin Lawrence is a great comedic actor, except for this movie is usually so much fun to watch. John Malkovich, who is just nuts in movies like "RED", was just flat here. Everyone being so bland takes this movie down.

I am going to go a little different here and talk about the ending of this film. I have thought about it for a day and I just don't think there is any other way to get my point across. Even with everyone being so bored through this you could have landed on your butt instead of your face, if it was not for the twist at the end. It is revealed at the end of the film that the Artist can take over the minds of anyone he draws. He has been taking over the mind of Jake Doyle and killing the women through him. There is no hint at any supernatural powers, it just happens. The science fiction aspect of this just does not fit. When it comes to just the story it is generic, by the numbers. Adding one little plot thread like that, can apparently do a lot more damage than I realized.

I believe in you Martin Lawarence, do better!!
