Grandma
I had no idea what to expect when going to watch this film. I have always taken a liking to the "indie film" genre, the style is more artistic, it doesn't seem to be terribly commercialized and, to me, it shows.
The one thing that stands out in the film is the excellent performance by Lilly Tomlin. She stars as a grandma that is trying to help her granddaughter Iris (Julia Garner) raise the money she needs for the abortion appointment she has that evening, It is a hilarious and emotional roller coaster ride, which is hard to do in a film well, and Grandma does beautifully.
In the end the film has a lot of heart and very funny even though it is a little cliched.
