As a fan of history this was easily at the top of my list. I also got a chance to see this a little early, so I am excited to talk about it! The film starts at the beginning of the infamous trial. The US army brings in Douglas Kelly (Rami Malek) to look into the Nazi high command. The film chooses to focus on the showdown with Hermann Göring. The film was written and directed by James Vanderbilt. His films take a giant swing through the genres. He goes from things like "Scream" to "Zodiac". Personally, in terms of historical dramas, if you can pull off Zodiac, you will get my eyes and ears. Russel Crowe has been in American movies since the early 1990's. He has had many iconic and memorable performances.He won an Oscar for Gladiator. I will say this is his best performance since "Cinderella Man".
